Super Affiliate System 3.0 Review: Is It Worth The Money Or Is It a Scam?

So you’re here because you want an unbiased review of the Super Affiliate System.  You came to the right place.

Unfortunately, the top reviews for the Super Affiliate System (latest version 3.0) are really praising it because they want affiliate commissions or they call it a scam and promote their own product.

Here’s an example of a “reviewer” who calls SAS a scam and then promotes their own course.

A lot of other “gurus” seem to be promoting Wealthy Affiliate.  Nothing wrong with Wealthy Affiliate – In fact, I’ve done a comprehensive review on WA – but the motive to downplay Super Affiliate is particularly strong in those reviews.

I’ll do something a little different.  I’ll buy the course and actually follow the lessons taught by John Crestani himself in the Super Affiliate System 3.0 (who I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and doing business with).

Read on because the results of my experiment is shocking.

Oh and along the way, I’ll address all the claims of scams and praises.   I’ll be purely objective and experimental.  I want YOU to decide for yourself on whether or not Super Affiliate System is an affiliate training course that is worth it.

Feel free to skip ahead to my experiment using the Table of Contents below : )

Let’s do it.

What is the Super Affiliate System?

Super Affiliate System is an affiliate marketing training course.  It is designed to help you get started as an affiliate marketer.  The main difference between SAS and other affiliate marketing training courses is that SAS emphasizes on paid traffic as opposed to organic traffic.  It is founded by online marketer and entrepreneur John Crestani.

How much Does it Cost?

You get a library of resources, training videos, and community support for $997.  It’s not too bad considering my university loan from going to a public college amounted to $25,000.

Also, there is a 30-day refund policy.  Although there is some stipulations (you have to show that you gave affiliate marketing an earnest chance with the methods presented in the SAS).

What comes with the SAS?

The SAS comes with a collection of training videos (many of them led by John Crestani himself), Resources (I.e email swipes and ad templates), and community forum where members help each other overcome common obstacles.

If you want details of the course, check out the section below where I talk about each of the weekly courses.

This is all accessible via members.imjetset.com website.

Who Would Buy the SAS?  Who Would Get the Most Value?

SAS is for new affiliate marketers who has initial capital to invest into paid ads like Facebook Ads, Google Ads, Instagram Ads, etc…  I also recommend it for those who are quick learners because the ads can rack up the bill quite fast.  It’s for marketers who want fast results.

It is not for affiliate marketing who wants to learn how to rank a site on the search engines like Google and get traffic organically.  This will take a bit of time (6months to a year).  If you are interested in building a site for the long term, check out my review for Wealthy Affiliate.

So Who is John Crestani?  Is He Legit?

Selling Answers For Money at School

There are a lot of people who claim John is a scam artist because of his not-so-good past. He once was suspended from his university for selling answers to students making $1000 in a day.

However, this isn’t much of an argument against his work. In fact, even the great Steve Jobs was notoriously known to rip off his co-founder Steve Wozniak.

A lot of those “guru reviewers” who claim John is a scammer only highlight the bad parts because they’re trying to sell their own product. In the same article that talks about his past, the comments are full of people vouching for his work.

Now, I’m one of the few online reviewers who’ve actually worked with John. So let me tell you his story…

John’s Inspirational Journey

Like many entrepreneurs, John was looking for his calling in life. Much like tech leaders such as Mark Zuckerberg and Steve Jobs, he went abroad to find what he wanted to do for the rest of his life.

He brought with him several religious scriptures among other books. Surprisingly the book that would eventually become the catalyst to his entrepreneurial career was Tim Ferris’s book: The 4-hour Workweek.

He eventually started working at an advertising agency managing ad accounts on platforms like Google Ads and Facebook Ads.

He was able to increase the ROI of one of his clients by 40 folds.

Instead of making his clients rich, he thought “Well, I might as well do this for myself.” Thus Internet Jetset and Super Affiliate System were born.

John’s Resume

John worked as an eCommerce manager / SEM (Search Engine Marketing) Analyst for several companies for over 4 years, according to his LinkedIn. He has over 100 endorsements on his online marketing and PPC skills

So John is an experienced marketer with track record of improving clients’ ROI via paid advertising. It’s the reason why the SAS 3.0 is an affiliate training course with an emphasis on paid advertising.

My Own Experience With John Crestani

I’ve talked to John on Skype on several occasions. He was nice enough to take time out of his day to speak to me about affiliate marketing and making money online.

He’s a very open-minded person and surprisingly speaks some Japanese among other languages.

John Crestani is well-versed in Eastern Languages

I’ve also actually done a little work for him doing data transformation on a list of emails he had. He paid me $100 for the task that took couple hours to do.

Super Affiliate System 3.0: What Changed?

User interface

The user interface of SAS 3.0 is completely revamped. This isn’t all just for looks but for function as well.

BEFORE: Super Affiliate System 2.0
AFTER: Super Affiliate System 3.0

SAS 3.0 implements this idea of gamification. It’s got roadmaps, badges, and progress bars. The structure is a bit more strict in how you can go through the program.

For you, this means going through the training course is much more bearable. We all know the feeling we had going through formalized education… very dry.

The new layout of the course is easier to navigate and doesn’t require you constantly open new tabs on your browser. It’s all in one place.

SAS 3.0 course layout page

Instead of comments or ‘thoughts’ beneath every video in the course, there is a forum where all the conversation takes place. This type of community forum is something I’ve seen in many other affiliate courses and it’s a great idea. I’m a huge fan of this upgrade.

When going through the courses, you now have to complete them before moving onto the next.

If you try to skip ahead, you’ll be stopped by this little message:

Course Content

The course used to be split up into 10 weeks. Now it’s 6 weeks.

They cut off several weeks — I’m in agreement with this — that were less focused and unnecessary:

  • Week 7: More Ad Campaigns
  • Week 8: Implementing the System
  • Week 9: Advanced software and tools
  • Week 10: More Affiliate Programs

You’re left with 6 modules:

  • The System Setup
  • Google Ads Setup
  • Youtube Ads Setup
  • Advanced Ad Tactics
  • Presell Pages and Scaling
  • Product Selection

If you want to an in-depth look into the content of these modules, read my review on the SAS 2.0 as the content has not changed significantly.

John has extensive experience in paid advertising. Not surprisingly, the bulk of the course is teaching you how to set up ads. The idea is pretty simply: you set up ads on FB, Google, Bing, Youtube or wherever, direct them to your pre-sell page or landing page and then to the actual product offering. If your ad spend is lower than the money you generate from selling his courses, you make profit.

It’s worth mentioning that some of his students have come across life-changing success.

So if you figure that most paid ads have free courses online, where is the actual value delivered by the SAS 3.0? I would say it’s in the community and the resources page.

Super Affiliate System 3.0 Resources page

The resources page provides email lists, ad swipes, and presell pages (landing pages) that are proven to work. He actually provides a list of 150,000 emails that you can use to build Look-alike audiences on FB. Facebook is EXTREMELY strict with marketing bizopp products, so tread carefully or you might get banned.

Ad swipes are materials you can use to start an ad campaign. In order to successfully launch an ad campaign you need videos, pictures, copy writing. John understands those obstacles and provides a bunch of resources to help you get started.

John Crestani provides pre-made videos for FB ads.

Super Affiliate System 3.0 includes an online forum where members can discuss each module and problems they run into (I.e not getting ads approved on Facebook). These exclusive communities makes the training feel less lonely and encouraging. Especially for me, I find it difficult to grind on my own. I like having people to bounce off ideas.

Super Affiliate System 3.0 Experiment:  Does It Work?

So I decided to follow the course material and tried to make a single sale of the Super Affiliate System 3.0.

I’ve done it but it took me a while and I made $80.24 in profit.

The “make money online” niche is a very competitive and restrictive niche.  I most likely will not continue to run ads in this niche because many networks (especially Facebook) do not allow ads to run in this space.

I’ve done A/B testing on several ad networks like Facebook, Snapchat, Google, and Bing.  To my surprise, the single sale came from Bing.  They are not as strict when it comes to advertising policies.

I focused on writing a compelling ad from the course about copywriting.  In one segment, Brian Pfeiffer goes over how to pique people’s interest.  He goes on to tell you that you have to write copy that is irresistible to click (similar to clickbait).

I won’t post the ad here but I put a lot of social proof and made it very personal.  It took me 3 weeks of running low budget ads to make the conversion.  All in all I spent more than $350 on ads before I made a single sale which gave me $460.

Super Affiliate System Alternatives

SAS is a great training course for those who want to dive into affiliate marketing.

I’ll recommend three other affiliate marketing courses that I think is worth taking a look at.

Wealthy Affiliate

Wealthy Affiliate is a one-stop-shop for affiliate marketers.  It’s one-of-a-kind in a social community sense and contains loads of videos, PDFs, and lessons that will help you build your own site and become and authority in your niche.

One thing I really liked about Wealthy Affiliate is the news feed.  The news feed show cases blog posts that members post to express themselves on somewhat of a lonely journey that affiliate marketing can be.  It’s great to be able to just talk to someone about how you’re doing and what progress you’ve made.  It’s not easy to go at it alone.

Affilorama is an older affiliate training course made by entrepreneurs Mark Ling and Simon Slade. With more than 900,000 members on their site, it’s packed with lessons that stood the test of time. It’s all free and they have a couple of paid products which are the Pathway To Passive Guide and the AffiloJetpack

I particularly like the section where they talk about treating affiliate marketing as a business.  Although it sounds corny, it couldn’t be any more true.  Once you start gaining traction and becoming a leader in your industry, you’ll need a plan to scale.

Clickbank University

Clickbank University is an affiliate training university that competes with Super Affiliate System with the approach of using paid traffic. Endorsed by Gary Vaynerchuk, this university focuses on selling Clickbank Products both as a vendor and an affiliate.

My favorite part of CBU 2.0 is the expert interviews. Listening to successful businessman like Gary Vee gives you motivation and insight on how he did it.

My Final Thoughts

John Crestani’s Super Affiliate System 3.0 is an affiliate system specifically made to generate traffic and sales by the use of paid advertising. In order to get started, you’ll need a budget for ad spend. The resources and the community make it a special place to get started on your affiliate marketing journey.

  1. Hey guys! I’m brand new to this and really need help and experience. I desperately want this to work but can’t afford the SAS program yet. May need to just try the 100 or 200 bucks a day deals at first.

  2. Hey man, I’m working on saving up for the SAS system, I’m about to land my first job and work my way up to $997 and capital for ads as well. When the time comes is there a way I could get SAS at a discounted price?

    Cheers, Manuel.
